i am in munich
staring at flowers
a beauty so spectacular
i cannot figure out
how to
be with it

so i take a photo

snap
i feel relieved
as if now
i can grasp it
now that i have this moment
saved for later

but there’s no later
& when i die
the 1s and 0s
showing flowers
dazzling and radiant
can no longer be summoned

now there’s only
that long gone moment
when i couldn’t be there
meeting the goddess
when i looked at my phone
as she slipped
from the only moment she was
in view
